Wildflowers in the Texas Hill Country
The peak can vary but expect a show from mid March to early May, depending on the rains. Bluebonnets are the state flower but they are complimented equally by Indian paintbrush, poppies, Indian blanket, black-eyed Susan and pink evening primrose.
It’s no wonder people flock to the Texas Hill Country (I have friends that come from beautiful Canada). The rolling hills, colorful wildflowers and winding country roads are enough to make anyone want to visit as often as possible.
Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg will mesmerize you with not only their display of wildflowers but their wine tasting, eatery and plant nursery. It’s a one-stop fun shop that we will be visiting in the peak months, usually with our Luxe Deluxe package.
This will be a photographer’s dream vacation, as well as anyone whose eye is drawn to beauty.
Come for the adventure, come for the connection, and come
for the beauty of the Texas Hill Country!
